MANILA, Philippines —The Supreme Court on Monday said that courts nationwide will continue regular operations despite the suspension of classes and work in government offices on September 1, 2025, due to expected heavy rains.

“In the absence of any announcement from the Office of the President regarding the suspension of work today, September 1, 2025, regular operations in the Judiciary shall proceed as scheduled, subject to the guidelines under Office of the Court Administrator (OCA) Circular No. 354-2023,” SC spokesman Camille Ting said in a statement.
The OCA circular provides the procedure for trial courts in issuing notices or securing approval for work suspension and early dismissal.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government suspended classes in all levels and government work in several regions as a precautionary measure against the anticipated rains.
